According to Article 49 of the Fire Protection Law of the People's Republic of China, national comprehensive fire and rescue teams and full-time fire brigades are not allowed to charge any fees when responding to fires or emergency rescues. When enterprise fire brigades or volunteer fire teams assist in fire suppression outside their own units, the local people's government is responsible for compensating the costs of fuel, firefighting equipment, and gear consumed during the operation. This regulation applies regardless of the type of vehicle used—whether it’s an aerial fire truck, a wildland fire truck, or a large fire truck with water tank capacity.
Firefighting responses are free of charge! 119 emergency responses are free! Fire department dispatch is free!
Please keep in mind: Do not make false emergency calls. Do not waste public resources.
According to Article 62 of the Fire Protection Law, making false fire alarms or obstructing fire trucks—such as a type 3 fire engine, a Ford fire truck, or other emergency vehicles—from carrying out their duties is a serious offense and will be penalized in accordance with the Law of the People’s Republic of China on Penalties for Administration of Public Security.
Under Article 25 of that law, those who deliberately report false emergencies, spread rumors, or disturb public order may face detention of five to ten days, and a fine of up to 500 yuan. For minor cases, a warning, fine, or shorter detention may still apply. False fire alarms not only disrupt operations of international fire trucks, they may also delay real emergency responses and risk lives and property.
Fire trucks come in many different truck types globally, such as the Japanese firetruck, yellow fire trucks, and even the horse drawn fire engine from historical times. Whether you’re referring to a water tender truck, a wildland fire truck, one thing remains universal: Respecting fire safety and using public emergency resources responsibly is everyone’s duty.
